Vietnam Reshapes Thu Thiem’s Urban Layout: 6.8 Trillion VND Cultural Landmark Relocated
Ho Chi Minh City plans to relocate the Thu Thiem Opera House project from its original site near the Ba Son Bridge approach to a new location adjacent to the political-administrative center.

Set to be renamed the "Conference and Performing Arts Center," the project entails a total investment of approximately 6.8 trillion VND, a building area of ​​about 58,000 square meters, and a seating capacity of around 2,000. The original site will be repurposed for parks, plazas, and public facilities; by integrating cultural, administrative, and public spaces, the city aims to further refine Thu Thiem’s urban functions and enhance the area's overall image and future development potential.
