So you’ve finally moved in into your new home but the place still looks messy with all those unpacked boxes around you, in this article we will give you some tips to fully complete your moving adventure by unpacking the right way.

First – clean the house!
Clean floors, shelves, and windows before you move all your belongings into your new home. It may sound like a waste of time, but it is important to perform a deep cleaning and refresh your new home before bringing all the boxes inside.

Unpack large pieces of furniture after moving in
Large items like beds, large pieces of furniture, desks, wardrobes, etc. should be unzipped first because you will need to use them pretty much right away after settling in. Put those essential pieces in the living room, bedroom, and kitchen so that you can start shaping the image of your house and how will you decorate it later.

Move boxes to the room they belong to.
You should plan all the rooms in your house. Then arrange big boxes and small boxes into each room they belong to. When it comes to unpacking boxes, label boxes with the name of the room they belong to.

Kitchen
The kitchen tends to take a long time to unpack and streamline due to the large number of items that need to be carefully sorted and arranged.
After moving large appliances such as refrigerators, cookers, or tables to their correct positions, you move on to arranging smaller items such as plates, glasses, cooking utensils, pots, and bowl into each appropriate position in the cupboard and kitchen cabinets.

Bathroom
Personal care items and toiletries are the most essential items to pack when moving. Fill shelves with everyday essential items like toilet paper, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorants, etc. or any other bathroom essentials you feel necessary.

Bedding

The bed is usually the first piece of furniture that needs to be put together and made to get you ready for your first night in your new home. This task can even happen before you install other devices as a good night's sleep is essential for you to feel at home in a new space.

Kids’ items

If you have kids, be sure to label them with their favorites and you can open the box after you move into your new home. Before opening the boxes in this room, you should definitely do the first thing that we mention in this article is deep cleaning. Taking care of your child's health and safety is of paramount importance. Protect them from dirt, bacteria and allow sunlight and fresh air to enter the room.

Pets
If you are traveling with a pet, think about its safety first. Pets do not own furniture, gadgets, and clothing, but they have their needs. Make sure their food is brought with you when you get here. Keep them in the cage while you are cleaning the house to avoid getting lost. Later, find some time to let your pet walk and sniff around his new home. Your pet will take care of the rest.

Clean Again!
After you finish unpacking the last box, it is time for a second round of cleaning. With unpacking you should expect a lot of dirt and dust spreading throughout your floor, cabinets, wardrobes, carpets, etc. It is imperative to clean so you and your family will be able enjoy a fresh & dirt-free environment during their first night in your new home.
