1.    READ CAREFULLY LEASING AGREEMENT

You need to double-check the terms related to property depreciation in the contract to see if the status of the property when you leave is appropriate or not. Checking the contract is very important because it is also possible for you that the wear and tear of any item are appropriate, but to the lessor, they do not think so. If there is a dispute, the contract can be the shield to protect you or vice versa.

2.    DOCUMENTING DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE CONDITION OF HOME EQUIPMENT

Before moving out, you should take some of your time to create a detailed breakdown of the condition before and after the equipment of the apartment. It is best to include actual photographs. This makes it easy for you to communicate with your landlord and helps you avoid confusing rental and self-purchased equipment.

Make sure everything is reset as it was when you got apartment. Cleaning up the dirt, rearranging everything to the old state will help landlords and newcomers feel more comfortable. Like leaving with a messy apartment, moving out, and left unused items are required to pay the fee to pack the items. It's best to negotiate with the landlord to see if they want to own the item back from you or you must take it to a more suitable place.

5.    HANDING OVER THE KEYS, SECURITY CARDS

All relevant apartment key sets should be returned to your landlord or real estate agent's office, including any security tags and current door lock password. Since they are all highly secure items, these can be expensive (and difficult to replace), so don't accidentally forget them. Make sure to return the keys as soon as you leave - any day after that and you may have to continue paying rent.
