In Thu Duc City (Ho Chi Minh City), many new urban and residential projects with large populations have put pressure on the area's infrastructure. Therefore, in the period of 2024 - 2025, the city has proposed expanding and upgrading 6 roads with a total investment of more than 30,000 billion VND.

Vinhomes Grand Park is one of the major urban projects of this city. Currently, the residential area is facing a sudden increase in population of 250,000 people. Therefore, the infrastructure system is difficult to meet and people living here always have to face traffic jams.

The existing roads leading into the urban area all have the common characteristics of being small and narrow, with 2 lanes and a cross-section of less than 10 m. There are many types of vehicles moving through the area such as: motorbikes, tourist cars, buses, etc.

Vehicles often travel from these two roads to meet at a three-way intersection less than 10 meters wide. Although there are traffic lights to regulate traffic, congestion still occurs.

To solve the above situation, according to the planning map of District 9 from 2012 and according to the proposal last year of Thu Duc City People's Committee, there will be 6 roads expanded and newly opened in this area.

According to the plan, Nguyen Xien Street from National Highway 1A (Binh Duong City) near Vinhomes Grand Park will be widened to 30 m. Currently, the existing road has only 2 lanes with a cross-section of about 10 m.Nguyen Van Tang is the main road that helps people move into the central area, but it is only about 7 meters wide. During the rainy season, people's movement becomes more difficult due to prolonged congestion. Therefore, this road will also be doubled in width to improve the area's infrastructure.

One of the proposed options is to build a connecting route from route D1 to the High-Tech Park and Nguyen Xien Street with an investment capital of more than 750 billion VND.

In addition, Thu Duc City also proposed to add a connection point between Ring Road 3 in Long Binh Ward. Because this area has a rapid urbanization level and currently only has Go Cong intersection.

The picture shows the Ring Road 3 project going through the Vinhomes Grand Park urban area. Currently, in the middle of the construction site is the overpass, on both sides are parallel roads that have gradually taken shape.

The above projects, when completed and put into operation, are expected to put pressure on regional infrastructure and increase connectivity to neighboring cities. At the same time, convenient infrastructure will help promote urban and regional economic development.
